E273: NanoEngineering: the little stuff matters in Splash Spring 2019 (Apr. 20, 2019)
Are you interested in engineering but don’t know what you want to study? Get a taste of NanoEngineering, which covers the study and manipulation of matter at the molecular-scale, and the ways these tiny things could impact your life! From transparent strain sensors, to impermeable gas membranes, graphene has taken over headlines all over the world. Through this interactive course we will explore 2-Dimensional materials, like graphene and hexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN). I will also share my experience getting into a research lab and being published in a scientific journal!
